Farhana Sarker, PhD

Assistant Professor

Overview

Since 2015 she has been an Assistant Professor within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Before joining ULAB, she worked as a PhD research student (2009-2014) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (ECS), University of Southampton, UK. During the period of my PhD study, she worked as a Teaching Assistant in that university. Prior to my PhD study, she worked for one academic year as an academic visitor (2008-2009) at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research in the same university. Prior to working at the University of Southampton, she worked as a researcher (2007-2008) at the College of Computer and Information Science, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Prior to that I worked for nearly two years as a Senior Software Engineer (2006-2007) in a software company in Bangladesh. She has also worked as an IT officer for Sheba Phone (a telecom company), Bangladesh from 2005-2006.

2) An assessment of the impact of Mobile Learning on the socio-economic changes in Bangladesh. Funded by ULAB Research Grant Committee, 2016.
