ULAB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Mid Western University of Nepal.
Mid Western University is a state-run university located in Surkhet, the regional headquarters of the midwestern development region of Nepal. It was founded in 2010 and has about 4,800 students.
The MOU was signed by Professor Upendra Koirala, Vice Chancellor of Mid Western University, and Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board, ULAB, on 27 February 2018 in The Chancellery at ULAB.
The MOU covers the following potential areas of collaboration between the two universities:
i. Faculty Exchange/Visiting Scholars between Acronym of Partner University and MWU;
ii. Short Term Student Exchange programs, e.g. Semester Exchange;
iii. Summer/Winter School Programs for Students;
iv. Study Abroad Programs for Students;
v. Dual Degree Programs;
vi. Collaborative Research and Publications;
vii. Organizing and Hosting Joint Conferences;
viii. Joint Teaching Arrangements;
ix. Such other Programs as the two universities may decide by mutual consent.
x. Special short-term academic programs;
xi. Exchange of administrative personnel;
xii. Joint cultural programs.
xiii. Credit Transfer
