ULAB Co-Curricular Office held Club Adviser Meeting

ULAB Co-Curricular Office held their Club Adviser Meeting for Fall 2018 Semester on 25.10.2018 at ULAB Campus-A Meeting Room. The meeting achieved its goal through the participation of Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza and club advisers of respective clubs. In the meeting, advisers from different clubs proposed their ideas on how to make club activities focus more on quality rather than quality. Clubs such as ULAB Debate Club, ULAB Chess Club, ULAB Sustainable Development Club, and ULAB Electronics Club shared their opinions about organizing Inter University events in the near future. Besides, other clubs also pitched their ideas about their upcoming events in front of the committee.

New advisers for ULAB Paper Canoe and ULAB Language Club were announced in the meeting. Shamsad Mortuza added that clubs should work in collaboration while organizing an event. Use of Permanent Campus premises are also encouraged to be used more often. Advisor Co-Curricular Office Dr. Pinki Shah stated that, advisers should inform their executives for approaching students personally to encourage them in joining their respective club activities. She added number of Inter University events must be increased to involve school and college level student’s participation as it would enhance the brand value of ULAB itself.

Involvement of ULAB Alumni’s in different events is also asked to be increased as it would help students to learn more from them about the corporate world. Also, advisers were invited to be more participative in club activities to encourage club students and set an example for them.
