ULAB Sustainable Development Club holds ‘Cleaning Activity’ at ULAB Permanent Campus

ULAB Sustainable Development Club and ULAB Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) holds ‘Cleaning Activity’ as part of their Greening ULAB Activity in collaboration with ULAB Co-Curricular Office and many other renowned and active clubs of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). The cleaning program took place on 25.04.2019 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at ULAB Permanent Campus.

 

Students and members of the host and participating clubs actively took part to initiate a practical action towards cleaning the Permanent Campus. Students collected different solid wastes and put into the designated trash bin which are been thrown by the ULAB students in the permanent campus premises. They also conducted a waste audit in different locations of the campus to identify what types of solid waste materials are generated and how much of each type of waste can and cannot be recovered for recycling.

 

ULAB Sustainable Development Club and Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) plans more such events further next semester as part of Greening ULAB program. The event was monitored by Lecturer-cum-Research Associate of CSD-ULAB and Advisor of ULAB Sustainable Development Club Mr. Joy Bhowmik.

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and its curricula are accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh.
