The Department of English and Humanities held a three-hour poetry workshop with fiction writer and poet, Rochelle Potkar, from Mumbai, India on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Auditorium on Campus A.
Prof. Fakrul Alam introduced the poet who then began the workshop with a reading of some of her poetry. The workshop focused on the poetic form, haiku, and the haibun.
The workshop was attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of ULAB, Prof. Shamsad Mortuza, the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, faculty members of DEH, and interested students from all ULAB departments (graduate and undergraduate programs).
The program ended with a Vote of Thanks by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mortuza.
