Anowarul Abedin

Overview

Mr. Md Anowarul Abedin has 5 years’ experience as a faculty member of Computer Science and Engineering. Prior to joining academia, he worked in the telecom industry for about two years. He completed his Master studies in Pervasive Computing and Communication for sustainable development (PERCCOM) – an Erasmus Mundus Master Program – from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Finland in 2016. He received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh in 2009. During his career in academia, he also worked as a part-time consultant in two national and two international (Finland and UK) organizations for more than two years. His research interests include, but not limited to, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Data Mining, Cloud, Security and Privacy, Software Engineering and Sustainable ICT.

  • “Developing an Online Survey Builder: The Requirements, Specifications and Possible Structure in Bangladesh Perspective” – with Faisal Mohammad Shahriar (ULAB, Bangladesh) and Ifrat Rahman (ULAB, Bangladesh) as a cross-disciplinary research work [2017-Present]
  • “A Teaching Aid for Bangla Handwriting” – with Nabeel Mohammed (NSU, Bangladesh) and Sifat Momen (ULAB, Bangladesh) as part of a Machine Learning based research project funded by Ministry of ICT, Bangladesh; www.banglalikha.org, 2016-2017
  • “SustCloud: A Cloud Architecture Ensuring Sustainable Solutions” – with Karan Mitra (LTU, Sweden) as part of an independent research work, 2017

  • SANOG-18 Fellowship, an international conference by South Asian Network Operators’ Group
  • Special Achievement Award from RAN team of QUBEE in September 2010
  • National Award for Young ICT Entrepreneur-2010 for the idea and implementation of National ICT Festival
  • Full free OIC Scholarship for 3 years Undergraduate study in IUT
  • RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) in February 2011 (Certificate No: 110-077-294)
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Course from GED Center Inc. in 2009
