A social justice and activism enthusiast, Abritty enjoys teaching courses related to race, gender, and cultural studies. Her areas of interest are transnational feminism, intersectionality, sociolinguistics, and feminist instructional design. Abritty completed her MA in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Oregon State University. She also has an MA with BA from the Department of English, University of Dhaka. Abritty was a panelist in the largest and most prestigious women’s studies conference- National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA) in the year 2016 which took place in Montreal, Canada. With three years of teaching experience, Abritty also worked as a certified interpreter with Cyracom Inc. (the second largest private interpretation company based in the US) and provided services for US embassy in Dhaka and Amman as an interpreter.
