Kazi Md Tarique, Phd

Overview

Dr. Kazi Md. Tarique has more than fifteen years of teaching experience. Prior to joining ULAB he used to teach at Southeast University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from North South University in 2001. After that in 2005, he completed his masters in International Finance from London Metropolitan University (UK). In 2017, he received his PhD in Business Administration from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His PhD work titled “A Maqasid (Objective) based Performance Evaluation Index for Islamic Banks” received a research grant of RM 63,000 from the Malaysian Government. His research interests include International Finance, Islamic Banking and Finance, and Multi-criteria Decision Making. Until this date, Dr. Tarique has published 14 articles in peer-reviewed journals including five (5) in Scopus. He has also participated in training on curriculum design and textbook writing and presented papers at different international conferences in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Research & Awards

PhD thesis titled “A Maqasid (Objective) based Performance Evaluation Index for Islamic Banks” received a research grant of RM 63,000 from the Malaysian Government.
