Abdul Kabil Khan, PhD

Overview

Kabil Khan has a Ph.D. in Journalism andpresently serves as assistant professor at the department of media studies and journalism of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. He is the author of country’s first complete mobile journalism book ‘Mobile Journalism: journalism of our time.’

He was adjunct faculty of the department of Mass Communications& Journalism of the University of Dhaka and former Specialist of mobile journalism at ProthomAlo.

From 2014 to 2017, he was a faculty of the Department of Mass Communications at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. He has an experience of a visiting lecturer of Uppssala University, Sweden in 2011 & University of Korea in 2013. Mr. Khan was the speaker of the Asia’s first international mobile journalism conference ‘MoJo Asia’ held in Bangkok in 2029. He has passed online moderation course at E-moderation which is an award winning Social Media Management company in UK. He has interviewed many famous political figures and celebrities. His main research interest includes New Media Development & Communication, Impact of Technology in Journalism, Mobile Journalism, Convergence Journalism, Social Media & Citizen Journalism Impact and Integration of Social Media with Mainstream Mass Media. He is the founder of ‘Mobile Journalism Institute’ which is an online platform of learning mobile journalism. So far, he has trained around 1000journalists& students in Bangladesh.
