This course offers a comprehensive idea on South Asian art and architecture from the beginning to the 1800 century. Through this course students learn about the patterns of development in the field of art and architecture, painting, sculpture, minor, and major artists and architects of South Asia. Besides, they will get introduced to interpret how social, religious, cultural, political, and economic milieu of South Asia are reflected in South Asian art and architecture.
