ULAB Students of English: Pathway Program to the University Portsmouth, UK

In a groundbreaking collaboration, ULAB has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the University of Portsmouth (UoP), UK exclusively for the students of the Department of English and Humanities.

The University of Portsmouth is one of the UK’s top 50 universities, according to the 2024 QS World University Rankings.

Through this MoA, students of the BA in English and the MA in English programs may choose to complete their degrees at the University of Portsmouth after completing a specific duration of studies at ULAB's Department of English and Humanities. Students will receive their graduation certificates from the University of Portsmouth.

Students in the language/linguistics concentration/track will benefit most from this program as degrees will be awarded in BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics, and MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. or MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL with Professional Experience.

𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘:

BA in English: 2 years at ULAB + 2 years at UoP

BA in English: 3 years at ULAB + 1 year at UoP

MA in English (Applied Linguistics and TESOL Track): 1 year at ULAB + 1 year at UoP

𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒:

Self-funded students are eligible for a scholarship in the form of a £2500 fee reduction applicable to the student's first year of study only (only available for on campus full-time international students)..

The option to attend some courses online from Bangladesh for the MA program.

ULAB staff shall be given the opportunity to participate in relevant staff development activities that Portsmouth may provide.
