Abedin has 10 years’ professional experience in Bangladesh, Europe, USA and 8 year’s teaching experience in Bangladesh. He brings a diverse background in both industry and academia to foster Industry-Academia collaboration for the Department of CSE at ULAB. With experience spanning software development, network engineering, and academic instruction, he offers students a practice-informed perspective on the subjects he teaches.
Abedin was involved with 4 startups from 4 different countries (Bangladesh, Finland, UK and USA) and he is well-versed with US-based startup ecosystem. Prior to joining ULAB, he taught in the University of Asia Pacific and held positions in the US Department of Transportation, Bank of America, Vercara and New York City Board of Education projects. He also worked for Robi and Qubee in Bangladesh, and did consultancy in several Bangladeshi companies.
Abedin’s current teaching and research interests include Software Engineering, Programming Languages, Core Networks, Network Automation, IT Security and Privacy, Drone Technology and Sustainable ICT. He loves being a Generalist and believes that Liberal Arts practices are the best to help students get ready for their future.
