Dr. Tareque taught at different world-renowned universities such as University of Massachusetts and University of Queensland. At the University of Massachusetts, he taught one of the foundation courses called Introduction to Education for all the freshmen and sophomore students. At the University of Queensland, he taught a senior level course titled, “Use of technology for innovation”. Before that Dr. Tareque worked for Save the children (in an education Project) for one and a half years and at the Institution of Educational Development (IED) for more than 2 years. Currently, Dr. Tareque is teaching at the General Education Department from the capacity as associate professor and also leading a center called the Center for Excellence of Teaching and Learning (CETL) which aims to strengthen the overall capacity and excellence of the existing academics at the university.

Super research fellow is a prestigious collaborative programme in between Save the Children US with some the top US universities. As part of this program every year Save the Children hire some senior Education Specialist and Doctoral students to work for them in their different country office operations and projects. In 2013, as a part of this fellowship opportunity I worked as an education expert in a research project that aimed to evaluate one of the Save the Children’s education project in their Bangladesh country office.
