Dr. Mst. Taskia Khatun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). She completed her PhD from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2024, specializing in the Software Engineering Project Management. She also earned a Master’s degree in the same field from same university in 2020.
She has professional academic experience as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Science & Information Technology, Daffodil International University, Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka-1340. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Stamford University Bangladesh, 51 Siddheswari Road, Dhaka-1217. She also served as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Prime University, 114, 116 Mazar Road, Dhaka-1216.
Her research interests include, Software Project Management, Data Science, Simulation Modeling, System Thinking and System Design, Agentic AI Systems. During her Doctoral research, she worked on Human Resource (Software Engineers) allocation in a multi-project environment (Software Projects) under Uncertainty and developed Simulation model to make a contribution in the Software Projects development sectors.
She has presented his research at international conferences and meetings across USA, England, Japan, Australia, Bangladesh.
During Her Master’s and PhD Period, she worked as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. She participated several workshops and seminars held at The University of Tokyo, Japan, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, Fujitsu Limited, Japan. She also did an internship as a Data Analyst and Problem Solver in Fujitsu Limited, Japan.
In addition to her research and academic activities, Dr. Taskia has reviewed several peer-reviewed conferences.
