Shawban Mahmud is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems and Networking from Curtin University, Australia and Malaysia, and earned his Master’s degree in Information Technology from Minnesota State University, USA.
He has professional industry experience, having worked as an IT Analyst at 3M, Minnesota, USA, where he gained hands-on exposure to enterprise IT systems and real-world technology solutions. In Bangladesh, he has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer in the CSE department from September to December 2025.
His academic and professional interests include computer networking, cyber security, and applied information technology, with a focus on bridging theoretical knowledge and practical application in teaching and research.
