Department of ETE, ULAB organizes a study tour at the Research Laboratories of Department of EEE, University of Dhaka
The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a study tour for ETE students at the Research Laboratories of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Dhaka on 11th August, 2016.
Twenty students, teaching assistants, faculty members and the head of the department were part of this tour.
The main goal of the tour was to introduce students to the development of new equipments and research in fields of electronic and communication engineering at various research laboratories of the dept. of EEE of Dhaka university.
During the tour students acquired knowledge about various types of high frequency microstrip antennas developed in the lab. They also had the opportunity to know practically how antennas were designed for various applications and how they are characterized using sophisticated equipment.
Students also visited optical fiber communication Engineering laboratory where Professor Dr. Anis Ahmed demonstrated the various equipments briefly to the students. He also explained about the use of equipment such as optical fiber Splicer, Giga Hertz range Network analyzer, Spectrum analyzer, Power meter and Standard RF signal generator.
At the end Prof Dr. Rezaul Karim Mazumder concluded the tour with thanks to Professor Dr. A.H.M Asadul Haq, Chairman, Department of EEE, DU and other faculty members for their grand support.
