“Skills for Career” workshop at ULAB Permanent Campus
ULAB Career Services Office (CSO) presents "Skills for Career" at the ULAB Permanent Campus, Ramchandrapur on 9th Feb 2017. The program is designed with career development workshops to introduce students to Employable Skills, show the Career Entry Strategies and prepare them to cope with Organizational Culture.
The modules are designed to complement the usual knowledge gained from books, and to help students become a better thinker. The main objective of the course is to build each individual to reach their highest potential. The whole program was facilitated by CSO Team with the support of promising ULAB Alumnus and respected faculty members. Students participated in different activities to sharpen their knowledge on Career Planning, Time Management, Networking Skills, Communications & Interpersonal Skills, Team Building Skills, Job Analysis and Interview tips.
66 students participated in the first day of the 2 day long program from across the departments. 9 teams were formed for the interactive sessions including Treasure Hunt, Team Building, Job Analysis and Time Management. During the hunt, students were taken on a unique adventure to save themselves from a deserted island explored some life saving ideas in teams. Attractive prizes were awarded to three lucky winners based on the criteria’s of Best Performance, Best Idea Generation/ Creativity and Team Skills.
“Skills for Career” is designed to build well-rounded leaders of the future. 2 corporate trainers and a faculty member of ULAB are scheduled to take the next sessions on 24th Feb 2017.
Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion by ULAB Career Services Office (CSO).
