ULAB Career Services Office (CSO) Organizes Industrial Visit to Masco Group

ULAB Career Services Office (CSO) Organized an Industrial Visit to Masco Group’s Shanta Expressions Limited a Composite Knit Factory Ready Made Garments (RMG) at Tongi, Gazipur on 22 July, 2017.

A group of 59 students across the departments and 4 (Four) faculty members and officials from ULAB participated the event to gain firsthand knowledge about Ready Made Garments (RMG) manufacturing and operation process.

Md. Fakhrul Islam, Deputy Manager, HR, Admin & Compliance welcomed and demonstrated the five students group accompanied by an expert to examine around the Composite Knit Factory, gaining first-hand knowledge about the process of cutting, sewing, dying, assembling, quality testing and packaging. Students also came to know about the different areas of the factory followed by an interactive question-answer session. The HR compliance team thoroughly explained different labor issues. In particular, they spoke about HR accord, alliance and fire safety and social compliance issues.

After the factory visit, a tour to Bhawal National Park was also arranged to feel and breathe life into the nature by the CSO Team. Students’ loved the natural beauties and queries about the trees and animals of the zoo park which was answered by an experience guide.
