Career Development Program “Skills 4 Career” Fall 2017 held at ULAB
ULAB Career Services Office (CSO) conducted the programme “Skills for Career” at ULAB Permanent Campus, Ramchandrapu, Mohammadpur and ULAB Campus B consecutively on 30 November and 9 December, 2017. The program is designed to introduce students to employability skills and career entry strategies and prepare them to cope with different types of organizational culture. Students participated in activities to sharpen their knowledge on career Planning, time Management, networking skills, communication skills, interpersonal Skills, team building skills, etc. They also learnt about job analysis, interview techniques and job search techniques.
55 students participated in the first day of the 2-day long program from across departments. 6 teams were formed for different workshops. Real life scenarios were created through participatory games to make participants understand about practical work.
Mr. Ashique Mahmood Adnan, Lecturer, School of Business (USB), and Mr. Abu Rasel, Director, Career Services, conducted the participatory workshops.
Assistant Professors, School of Business (USB), Mr. Shubhankar Shil and Mr. Abdul Baten shared their experiences and thoughts during the certificate awarding session with the participants.
