ULAB Shangskriti Shangshad organized an Inter ULAB Classical Music Competition 2019 titled “Guru Bina Kaise Gun Gaowe (গুরু বিনা ক্যায়সে গুন গাওয়ে)“

ULAB Shangskriti Shangshad organized an Inter ULAB Classical Music Competition 2019 titled as " “Guru Bina Kaise Gun Gaowe (গুরু বিনা ক্যায়সে গুন গাওয়ে)”, which is held on 31st July 2019 at Campus-A Auditorium of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. The ceremony started with a speech of Vice-Chancellor of ULAB, Professor Dr. H M Jahirul Haque. Aminah Ahmed who is a prominent Rabindra vocalist, members of the Board of Trustees of ULAB and the founder of ULAB Shangskriti Shangshad was present there. National Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Registrar Akhtar Ahmed, faculties, students and guardians were also there. The judges were Dr. Harun-Or-Rashid and Sree Anil Kumar Saha, both are Classical Board Members, Bangladesh Television. 

Twelve students from different departments of ULAB participated in this competition, among them, three became winners. Shaeeka Islam Nabila (Rag- Malkosh) is the champion, Anika Nusrat Ridme (Rag-Bhimapalshree) is 1st Runner Up and Rowshan Jamir Shovon (Rag-Kalashree) is 2nd Runner up. Dr. Mintu Krishna Pal teaches classical music to the students in the regular singing classes. Pandit Dileep Kumar Chakrobartee, Asit Biswas Esraj played Tabla and Bhajan Kumar played Tanpura in the competition. The whole competition was supervised by the club advisor Shajedul Alam, Senior Lecturer of ULAB School of Business. By the speech of Aminah Ahmed to emphasis on the practice of Pure Classical Music and giving crests to the winners finally the competition ends here.
