Considering the importance of Data Science today, the IoT Lab at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a webinar titled “Practical Application of Data Science” on 1 June 2020.

Data Science has a core relationship with the Internet of Things (IoT). Data is everything as it is the key resource that enables visualization of a problem and assists a solution. The importance of Data Science and its applications has, therefore, become increasingly significant and warranted a discussion.

He also talked about how to begin working in this field and how students can increase their expertise in Data Science.

Dr. Muhammad Golam Kibria, Associate Professor of the Department of CSE and Executive Advisor of the IoT Lab, introduced the IoT Lab to the participants while Dr. Mohammad Shahriar Rahman, Associate Professor of the same department, moderated the session.

The webinar was powered by the IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter, in association with IEEE ULAB SBC, IEEE Computer Society ULAB SBC, and IEEE ULAB SB WIE Affinity Group.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mottalib, Head of the Department of CSE and Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, ULAB, highlighted the importance of the webinar. He wrapped up the event with a vote of thanks.
