The Curriculum Integration (CI) Exhibition of the Spring 2020 Semester, organized by the Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) Department of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), was inaugurated on June 30, 2020, at 4 pm. This time the exhibition was held online event due to the current pandemic.

The programme was jointly organized by ULAB’s very own public relations apprenticeship program PR4U with the support of Brian Shoesmith Media Lab. The theme for this semester is ‘Communication Apprehension’, popularized by James McCroskey and Michael Beatty in 1986.

At the beginning of the event, the head of the Media Studies and Journalism Department Professor Jude William Genilo said that “Few people were trying to convince me not to continue with the curriculum integration program for Spring 2020. They were telling me that in a pandemic, students are not in a mental state for serious teaching and learning. But these people did not understand it is not me to convince, rather it is the students who take the decision whether the program continues or not. From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate all of you for making this possible’.

Independent film and documentary maker Arifur Rahman was the special guest in the event. In his speech he said that analysis, angle and focus of all seven reports made by the students were very excellent. He congratulated students for their outstanding works.

Prominent portrait photographer Nasir Ali Mamun was the chief guest in the event. He praised the initiative to arrange an online exhibition. “It seemed that you are not only sitting at home idle during this lockdown, you have produced a lot of artworks; you have utilized your merit.”

ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. H M Jahirul Haque, Special Advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees Professor Imran Rahman along with other faculty members and students enjoyed the event. The event came to an end at 5:30 pm. The online exhibition continued till July 06, 2020 at ulabmsjci.net.
