University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has recently conducted the feasibility study of a project entitled “Construction of Physical Infrastructure of Hili, Burimari and Banglabandha LC stations” of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Bangladesh. Ashique Mahmood Adnan, Senior Lecturer, ULAB School of Business, has carried out the feasibility study. The project, to be implemented at an estimated cost of Tk 80.61 crore, has been approved by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), the highest body for approval of development projects in Bangladesh.

It is expected that the project will increase revenue collection of NBR by capacity enhancement of Land Customs Stations in the north Bengal region of Bangladesh. NBR has taken into consideration of the recommendations made by ULAB for the successful implementation of the project. The project will be jointly implemented by the NBR and the Department of Public Works, and is expected to be completed by June, 2024.
