GED Webinar on Participation of Bengali Diplomats in the Liberation War of Bangladesh

The General Education Department (GED) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a webinar titled " Participation of Bengali Diplomats in the Liberation War of Bangladesh” on January 12, 2022, featuring  Dr. Mosharof Hossain, Researcher, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and M.M. Azizul Rasel, Senior Lecturer, GED.  The webinar was graced by the presence of ULAB's Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman.

The webinar started with a welcome speech by Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan, head of the General Education Department, ULAB. In her welcome speech she discussed about the important roles played by the Bengali Diplomats during the Liberation war of Bangladesh. During the Liberation War the Mujibnagar Government tried to connect the World and created a public opinion by using diplomatic policy. Dr. Mosharof Hossain in his presentation, emphasized that most of the Bengali Diplomats were firmly determined to change their allegiance as well as done work favoring the Liberation War secretly or some were waiting for a message from Mujibnagar Government. He also discussed the full defect process, situation and other

matters of Bengali Diplomats. M.M. Azizul Rasel highlighted on how Dr. Hossain’s research is filling the gap of Bangladesh liberation war history through this research findings. The discussion was followed by an enthusiastic Q/A session with audience members.  Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan wrapped up the event with her vote of thanks to the speakers and the participants.
