VLSI seminar organized by the EEE Department
Very-large-scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating an integrated circuit (IC) by combining thousands of transistors into a single chip. This process is utilized globally but what is the situation right now in Bangladesh? To answer this intriguing and yet very important question, a seminar was organized by the Department of EEE, ULAB to familiarize students with these prospects, as well as providing them with the up to date knowledge on the global VLSI industry. This session was powered by the ULAB Electronics and Robotics Club, ULAB. The title of the session was "Can we work with global chip manufacturers sitting at Dhaka?". It was conducted by Md Ismail Hossain, who is affiliated with Neural Semiconductor Limited as the Program Manager.
The workshop was organized in the permanent campus of ULAB. Students along with the alumni from all over joined the session with great enthusiasm. Also, the Head of the department of EEE along with other faculty members were also present in the seminar. The event gave important insights on the VLSI industry sector in Bangladesh. A cordial thanks to all who attended the seminar and made it successful.
