Seminar on Higher Study Abroad and Job Opportunities

The department of EEE, with UERC, has successfully  organized a seminar on higher study abroad and job opportunities in the USA on 7 December at 4:10 PM in PD 209. The resource person was Mr. Siam Hossain who is the Founder and President of HigherStudyAbroad, and Founder CEO of Algorizin Inc. Currently he is on a mission to build an end-to-end solution to help immigrants migrate to the US for higher studies and employment through his two companies. The following agendas were addressed in the seminar.

1. A higher level overview of all possible pathways to migrate from Bangladesh to the US
2. Pitfalls of funded research while pursuing postgraduate study, and how to avoid them
3. How to choose the right career path and changing majors
4. A holistic view of job sector and emerging fields in USA
5. Current job market situation for international students after the Post-Covid era
6. How to build a stellar resume and build your portfolio
7. How to get the best out of Linkedin and grow your professional network
8. Different pathways to get the ‘Green Card’ and permanent residency
9. Entrepreneurship opportunities for immigrants

Many enthusiastic students attended the seminar and gained very important insights on higher study abroad. Faculty members of the EEE department also joined the seminar. The seminar turned out to be very successful judging from the students’ feedback. EEE dept, ULAB plans to organize many such important events in the coming days.
