ULAB signs MoU with ActionAid Bangladesh
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and ActionAid Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday, 18 August 2024, at the ULAB campus. The signatories from ULAB were Prof. Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Jude William Genilo, Pro Vice Chancellor. From ActionAid Bangladesh, the agreement was signed by Farah Kabir, Executive Director, and Morium Nesa, Manager, Women’s Rights and Gender Equity.
The partnership includes initiatives such as a full annual scholarship from ULAB for an ActionAid student, biannual visits for ActionAid students, and collaboration on internships and job placements.
The delegation from ActionAid Bangladesh also included Shams Muzaddid (Manager, Programme and Partnership Development), while ULAB attendees included Lt Col Md. Foyzul Islam (Retd) (Registrar), Mohammad Zamal Uddin Bhuiyan (Joint Registrar & Head of Admissions), and virtually, Jennifer Hossain (Consultant, International Affairs) from Portugal.
This partnership aims to strengthen educational opportunities and community engagement over the next five years.
