The School of Science and Engineering (SSE), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), proudly hosted a special seminar on February 19, 2025, featuring distinguished alumnus Mr. Mafizul Islam of the Electrical & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) Department.

Currently serving as Lead, Strategic Management Unit (Data) at the United Nations, Mr. Islam delivered an engaging talk titled: "Leveraging Liberal Arts Education to Build an Engineering Career in the United Nations."

The seminar was held at Room PD 210 from 10:50 AM to 12:20 PM and drew attendance from students, faculty, and aspiring global professionals.

Through his inspiring journey from ULAB to the global stage, Mr. Islam highlighted the unique strengths of a liberal arts education in shaping well-rounded, adaptable engineers capable of excelling in international institutions. He offered valuable guidance on skills, mindset, and strategic steps necessary to thrive in organizations like the United Nations.
