EEE Study Tour to Raozan Thermal Power Station and Kaptai Hydro Power Station
On May 21–22, 2025, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), ULAB, successfully organized a two-day industrial study tour to the Raozan Thermal Power Station and Kaptai Hydro Power Station.
This academic visit provided students with hands-on exposure to large-scale power generation systems and allowed them to observe real-time operations of thermal and hydroelectric power plants, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. 🌍⚡
Students explored core engineering processes, including turbine operations, control room monitoring, grid synchronisation, and safety protocols. Faculty members guided the students throughout the tour, ensuring meaningful interaction with plant engineers and technical staff.
The tour was designed to deepen students’ understanding of Bangladesh’s power infrastructure, encourage critical thinking, and foster a sense of professional readiness among future engineers.
We are proud of our students for their active participation, discipline, and curiosity throughout the tour. Events like this embody our department's commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement.
