Dr. Ferdousi Ara Khatun stated that Bangladesh faces numerous environmental issues, including biodiversity loss, pollution, and climate change. She presented how environmental education could address and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In her presentation, she stressed the importance of accumulating the ecological issues that currently impact human society in Bangladesh. The discussant, Professor Dr. Mohammad Zabed Hossain, added his opinion, justifying that education accommodates environmental issues and supports the development of policy documents or curricula on environmental education for school education in Bangladesh. Following the discussion, the audience, particularly the students in the Sustainable Agriculture course, participated in a question-and-answer session and received feedback from the discussant and the key speaker. The program was moderated by the department’s Senior Lecturer and Coordinator, M Shahidul Islam Khondake.
