ULAB Signs MoU with GarmentTechBD to Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration in Garment and Supply Chain Sectors
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh signed a MoU with the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh (GarmentTechBD) on Monday, 10 November 2025 at the ULAB campus to participate in BD case competition, to promote collaboration in training, research, and professional development within the garment and supply chain sectors. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices through joint initiatives such as competitions, workshops, simulations, internships, and capacity-building programs. Under this agreement, ULAB students will receive early access to e-learning courses, certified programs, and internship opportunities offered by GarmentTechBD, along with complimentary ASCM and GarmentTechBD memberships to strengthen their industry engagement and career readiness.
The collaboration reaffirms the commitment of both organizations to fostering innovation, research, and skill development that align with the evolving needs of Bangladesh’s garment and textile industries, ultimately contributing to the nation’s economic growth and global competitiveness.
Professor Jude William Genilo, Acting Vice Chancellor of ULAB, and Dr. Henry Soo, Strategic Partner of the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
