ULAB CSE Represents at UNDP’s Future Nation Summit 2025
The UNDP Future Nation Summit 2025 was held on 30 November at the National Science and Technology Complex in Agargaon. The day-long event was jointly organized by BIDA, UNDP, and Grameenphone. Seven CSE students, accompanied by Professor Muhammad Golam Kibria, Head of the CSE Department, participated in the summit.
The program featured a series of panel discussions where industry leaders and academicians-including the Vice Chancellors of the University of Rajshahi, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), and Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU)-shared insights on emerging trends in the tech sector and future investment opportunities.
During the closing ceremony, Mr. Stephen Forbes, Director of the British Council Bangladesh, emphasized that youth, technology, and education will be the primary drivers of future progress. The Chief Guest, Mr. Monirul Islam, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, highlighted the importance of investing in advanced technologies such as AI, robotics, data science, and cybersecurity. He also underscored the need for collaborative efforts to accelerate national development.
