Discussion meeting on Independence and National Day at ULAB
A discussion meeting was held at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on March 30, 2026, to mark Independence Day and National Day. The program began with the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs. Later, detailed discussions took place on the significance of the Liberation War, the country’s history, and the spirit of independence.
The keynote speaker at the event was valiant freedom fighter Major Didar A Husain (Retd.). In his speech, he highlighted various aspects of the history, sacrifices, and achievements of independence and urged the younger generation to be inspired by the spirit of the Liberation War. The welcome speech was delivered by ULAB’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shamsad Mortuza, PhD. He emphasized that collective efforts are necessary to move the country forward by embracing the ideals of independence.
Additionally, cultural performances and special presentations by students added a unique dimension to the event, rekindling patriotism among the attendees. The program became lively and meaningful with the participation of the university’s teachers, students, and staff.
