ULAB Signs MoU with BIID to Strengthen Interdisciplinary Research and Sustainable Development

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development (BIID) on August 19, 2026, at the ULAB campus. The MoU signing ceremony was chaired by ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza and attended by Mr. Md Shahid Uddin Akbar, CEO of BIID, Prof. Muhammad Golam Kibria, Head of CSE Department, and other senior faculty members. In his remarks, Prof. Mortuza highlighted the importance of academia–industry collaboration in promoting innovation, knowledge exchange, and impactful research.
The collaboration with BIID is expected to create valuable opportunities for interdisciplinary research, knowledge sharing, innovation, and the development of technology-driven solutions that contribute to sustainable development. Established in 2019 as a not-for-profit organization, BIID works in key areas including agriculture, nutrition, and entrepreneurship.
