EducationUSA Hosts Seminar on U.S. Higher Education at ULAB

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) hosted an informative seminar titled “Exploring U.S. Higher Education: Graduate Study, Scholarships, and Application Strategies” on September 24, 2026, at the ULAB campus. The 60-minute session was organized to provide students with practical guidance on pursuing higher education in the United States.
The seminar was conducted by Sohel Iqbal, EducationUSA Adviser, The American Center; Gulshan Alam, EducationUSA Adviser, The American Center; and Shynan Rahman, EducationUSA Adviser, EMK Center. The session provided students with an overview of the key requirements for admission to U.S. universities, the application process, and important considerations when preparing for graduate study. The advisers also discussed opportunities for financial aid and scholarships, helping students better understand the resources available to support their higher education journey in the United States.
Professor Shamsad Mortuza, PhD, Vice Chancellor of ULAB, was present at the seminar and delivered a speech highlighting the importance of international exposure and informed academic planning for students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad. He encouraged students to explore global academic opportunities and make well-informed decisions in planning their future studies and careers. To make the session more engaging and interactive, the advisers conducted several surprise quizzes throughout the seminar. Students actively participated in the quizzes and received EducationUSA gifts for their correct responses, adding an interactive element to the learning experience. The seminar offered students an opportunity to gain firsthand guidance from EducationUSA advisers and better understand the steps involved in planning and applying for graduate studies in the United States. The session was particularly useful for students considering international higher education and seeking information about admissions, scholarships, and application strategies.
