However, the sector grapples with a long list of challenges, including low productivity, limited access to finance, markets, and information, wastage in the value chain, and a lack of technology adoption, exacerbated by a dwindling workforce and declining arable land and resources. A growing crop of agritech startups has been slowly breathing a new sense of dynamism into the sector by addressing many of these challenges, marking significant progress in a short time.
