Dr. Ifat Al Baqee is serving as an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Image Processing from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia at July 2016. He received his BSc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur, Dhaka, February, 2009. From 2009 to 2012 he served as a Lecturer at the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Stamford University Bangladesh. Since 2012 to 2016, he pursued his Doctoral degree and also had part time tutoring experience at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia in different capacities.
Dr. Baqee worked for several reputed private universities in Bangladesh as academic and researcher roles and he is more than 12 years of experiences in this sector. His research interests include image processing, audio processing and its application, wireless power transfer optimization, IoT based health system, and 3D modelling and automation and applications of AI in Health Monitoring and Image Processing. His research finding has been published in the leading journals and conferences in nationally and internationally.
Dr. Baqee has been thoroughly involved in OBE based teaching learning curriculum and accreditation process. He worked in undergraduate curriculum development committee for BSc in EEE program of Southeast University Bangladesh from Bangladesh Accreditation Council on 2021-22. He acquired administrative experiences from the role of Head of the EEE department at University of Information, Technology and Sciences during 2022-24. He also served as Additional Director, IQAC of Canadian University of Bangladesh as well as Head of the department of EEE at Canadian University of Bangladesh.
He is also currently involved in the editorial committee of several reputed international journals search as IACSIT, AJEIT and performed responsibilities of Co-Chair and Chair of IEEE conference sessions such as ICREST and ICCIT.
