Jahanara Tariq

Jahanara Tariq has two years’ experience teaching English reading and writing as an Adjunct faculty at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).

Besides teaching, she is interested in Creative Writing and has attended several workshops including one hosted by Ashoka University and led by writer, poet and critic Amit Chaudhuri. Her essays and reviews have been published in The Daily Star among other places.

She is currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of English and Humanities at University of Liberal Arts (ULAB).

Her primary interests include but are not limited to, Formalism and Genre Studies, Experimental Literature, Translated Literature and Mythological Retellings. She is also an aspiring creative writer and poet.
