Mr. Bhowmik has more than 3 years of working experience in teaching, environmental education, conservation volunteering and community capacity development. He worked on the assessment of floral diversity of the Kutubdia Island including ecosystem conservation and explored the impact of climate change on the coastal ecosystems. I have qualitative research experience on disaster risk reduction, focused on landslide hazard in Chittagong Metropolitan City.
He also worked as a research intern at the adaptation programme of the UNFCCC secretariat in Bonn, Germany. His works include climate finance, implementing National Adaptation Plans and preparing policy discussion document on sustainable livelihood diversification. He was engaged in the communication and outreach of the worldwide successful adaptation activities and social media promotion of the UNCCD. I assisted several NGOs in different research activities in the field of environmental law and natural resource management. He is interested in perusing further research on ecosystem and community based adaptation, land use and food security, renewable energy and the community development activities that focus on lifestyle improvement for the marginalized communities.
