Dr. Minhaz Uddin Ahmed received his doctoral degree in Business Administration from Zhejiang Gongshang University, the oldest and one of the most prestigious business schools in China. He started his professional career in 1999 with Giant Group, a leading company in Textile and RMG sector in Bangladesh and managed export contracts with JC Penny, Levis, Tommy Hilfiger, and GAP.
Later he was drawn to academia and devoted himself in the education industry since 2000 on a full-time basis. His role as a business educator spans both home and abroad where in China he taught Business Administration for nine years in different Chinese universities. In Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, he worked as Associate Professor in ‘Sino-Australian Business Administration Program,’ an academic collaboration with La Trobe University, Australia. In this program, he educated students from different countries as China, USA, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Zimbabwe etc.
Alongside teaching in China, he was a trainer for Corporate Communication and internationalized the communication process of several leading joint-ventures namely Abbott Medical Optics, Amphenol Telecom, and Staubli Mechatronics. Between 2018 and 2020, he worked as a consultant for “Higher Education Network for Sustainable Textiles,” a project funded by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to promote sustainability in the textile value chain.
For the excellence in research and teaching, he was awarded by the Government of China with Scholarships and other recognitions. He is an Ex-cadet from Comilla Cadet College.
