Mr. Shafayat Hossain Chowdhury is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business. He started his career in 2009 with Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), one of the prominent banks in the country, as a Management Trainee after completing his BBA from North South University. He served the bank at various capacities ranging from Associate Financial Analyst to Senior Associate Manager and made significant contributions in the development of consumer credit.
In 2013, he went to the United Kingdom (UK) to pursue higher studies securing the prestigious “Aston Business School Postgraduate Scholarship.” He attained his MSc International Business degree with Merit from Aston University in Birmingham and achieved lifetime membership of “Beta Gamma Sigma,” an international honor society recognizing outstanding scholars from the world’s best business and management programs.
He joined University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in 2015 and has been teaching courses at undergraduate level. Apart from teaching, he has organized several workshops and seminars for students with insights to particular sector. He has also conducted several training sessions at Brac Bank, designed for the grooming of new joiners in Small Business.
