Dr. Shamsuddin Ahamad is an Associate Professor at USB, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, and a researcher in Development and Financial Economics, institutional efficiency, intellectual capital, microfinance, ESG, and sustainability. He has an established record of high-quality publications in leading international journals indexed in Web of Science, ABS, ABDC, and Scopus, with many appearing in Q1 and Q2 outlets.
Dr. Ahamad has secured competitive national and international research grants and is currently leading multiple funded research projects in collaboration with esteemed institutions. He actively contributes to the global scholarly community by presenting at prestigious international conferences in the UK, France, etc., and has served as panel chair, session discussant, and reviewer for different reputed journals.
He earned his PhD in Business from Taylor’s University Malaysia, where his doctoral research applied advanced two-stage econometric techniques, including Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), using a large multi-country panel dataset of microfinance institutions. In addition to research, Dr. Ahamad has held Associate and Adjunct Faculty positions at Taylor’s Business School (AACSB-accredited), mentoring students and contributing to academic program development.
