The department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) at ULAB jointly organized a webinar on “Thriving in VLSI Analog Circuit Design” via online platform on 6 August 2020. The resource person was Engr. Ahmad S Mazumder is an accomplished Analog Design Engineer in the USA. He has been working in various well-respected high-tech companies for 23+ years. He worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation for 11 years and as a Senior Principal Engineer at Broadcom Corporation for 2 years. He also held many respectable positions at IBM, Trident Microsystems, C-Cube Microsystems, Microchip technology etc. Currently he is working at Silvaco where he is leading the Analog IP development business division. Honorable Dean of School of Science and Engineering (SSE), Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mottalib, Prof Dr M. Mofazzal Hossain, Head of EEE Department, distinguished faculty members and students of ULAB were present in this webinar. The speaker discussed the current and future trends in the semiconductor industry, the importance and fundamentals of analog circuits design, the application and importance of analog IC design in developing AI/ML/DL based systems, the significance of life-long learning and innovation in the career of an engineer. After his informative presentation, there was a Q&A session.
