DEH UG Commencement FA19

The Department of English and Humanities held the Fall 2019 Commencement program for graduating students who defended their theses. The graduating students shared their feelings about the department and their experience at ULAB. A colorful program was organized by the junior students to entertain and to wish the graduating students well. Songs were presented by several students and a witty skit scripted by Khadija Begum Atia was presented.

Alumnus Saima Akhtar was invited to speak to the students to inspire them towards their future goals. Saima has been working as Lecturer in the Department of English at Eastern University for the last three years.

Prof. Shamsad Mortuza, Head of DEH and Pro-VC of ULAB, spoke to the students and Prof. Kaiser Haq, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, regaled the students with a song as he wished them well.

The event was attended by the students and faculty members of DEH.
