Mohammad Mosiur Rahman has over seven years of research and three years of postgraduate teaching and supervision experience in the interdisciplinary fields of sociolinguistics and TESOL. From macro-level bilingual language policy, language curriculum development and implementation, to micro-level language attitudes and classroom language teaching, he has published widely in SCOPUS and Web of Science indexed journals. His works have appeared in prestigious international journals, including the Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism (Taylor & Francis), English Today (Cambridge University Press), Journal of Language, Identity & Education (Taylor & Francis), English Teaching & Learning (SpringerNature), Asian Englishes (Taylor & Francis), The Journal of Asia TEFL (ASIA TEFL), Issues in Educational Research (Western Australian Institute for Educational Research), Language Testing in Asia (SpringerNature), Open Linguistics (Walter de Gruyter). Mohammad Mosiur Rahman was one of the two recipients of the Universiti Sains Malaysia Vice-Chancellor Award in 2019, the highest award for any PhD student from the university. Earlier, to pursue his PhD, he was awarded the second-highest scholarship of the University for research students, the Universiti Sains Malaysia Fellowship in 2018. He received the Graduate Research Assistance Scheme while studying for his MA in Applied Linguistics (by research) at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2016.

Graduate Research Assistantship Scheme (2016-2017): This is the third highest scholarship for the postgraduate research student in Universiti Sains Malaysia.
