Dr. Shamsuddin Ahamad is an Assistant Professor at USB. He is experienced in collaborative and independent research, along with the necessary data analysis skills. His portfolio includes several research papers published in esteemed journals indexed in Web of Science, ABS, ABDC, and Scopus, many of which rank in the Q1 and Q2 categories. Dr. Ahamad is currently leading two research projects. One is funded by UIU and ULAB, and another one is funded by the Rabdan Academy, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He received his PhD in Business with a focus in Financial Economics from Taylor's University Malaysia. His PhD thesis is titled "The Effects of Financial and Intellectual Capital on the Efficiency of Microfinance Institutions: The Moderating Role of Internal and External Governance." With a double-stage analysis approach, he employed Data Envelopment Analysis and the Generalized Method of Moments estimator in his study, where he used the panel data of 661 MFIs from 86 countries. Additionally, Dr. Ahamad is actively engaged in the scholarly community, regularly reviewing papers for reputable international journals, presenting his own research at international conferences, and chairing different parallel sessions. Alongside his academic pursuits, Dr. Ahamad has served as an Associate and Adjunct Faculty at Taylor's Business School (AACSB) within Taylor's University Malaysia.
