Mohammed Ashikur Rahman has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) since February 2022. He began his academic journey at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology (ADUST) in 2010, where he taught for four years before moving to the University of South Asia, Dhaka. There, he served for approximately seven years, from September 2015 until February 2022.
Dr. Ashikur pursued his PhD at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), returning to Bangladesh upon completing his degree in 2021. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Networking and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from abroad.
His research focuses primarily on Machine Learning, particularly in developing predictive models using simplified neural network. He is also engaged in research related to the Internet of Things and explainable Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Rahman's scholarly contributions have been published in prominent national and international journals, and he serves as a reviewer for several Scopus-indexed journals, including IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and the Journal of Computer Science.
