ULAB participated at Bangladesh Education Forum 2023 in Dubai

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) participated at the Bangladesh Education Forum 2023 at Crowne Plaza in Dubai, UAE in October 2023. On behalf of ULAB, Dr Kazi Anis Ahmed, the Vice President, Board of Trustees, and Ms Jennifer Hossain, Director of International Affairs were present at this event on 14 & 15 October 2023. This initiative was taken by the Pan Asian Exhibition and Spiral World Event to bring interested Bangladeshi universities, engineering and medical colleges closer to the international high-school students in the UAE where ULAB showcased its different programs and interacted with interested students.

Prof Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor of ULAB gave welcome remarks virtually at the conference. Prof Rahman said that apart from active learning, ULAB’s core concept is sustainable development. ULAB students must know the kind of challenges they would face in the coming decades, and they would get not only an opportunity to do a minor in sustainability but also get a chance to work at some of the research centers who work on sustainable development. A panel discussion on Emergence of Bangladesh as an education destination was facilitated by Dr Kazi Anis Ahmed.

Prof Dr Biswajit Chanda, Member of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC), Mohammed Abu Zafar, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the UAE, B M Jamal Hossain, Consul General of the Bangladesh Consulate in the UAE, BoTs, Vice Chancellors, Pro-Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Directors, Faculty Members, and officials from a few Bangladeshi local universities participated at this event. At the end of the conference, students of schools were awarded for a quiz competition.
