Mission:
The mission of the ULAB Model United Nations Club is to empower students of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) to become informed, articulate, and empathetic global citizens. Through engaging simulations of United Nations processes, we aim to provide students with a platform to explore critical international and domestic issues, understand diverse perspectives, and develop practical skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking.
1. Encourage Critical Thinking: Equip members with the tools to analyze and address complex global problems by fostering analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
2. Promote Leadership and Confidence: Help students discover and hone their leadership potential through active participation, collaboration, and constructive debate.
3. Build Interpersonal and Professional Skills: Provide opportunities for members to enhance communication, teamwork, and networking skills that are essential in today’s interconnected world.
4. Create a Culture of Inclusivity: Offer a welcoming and supportive environment where students from diverse backgrounds can freely express ideas and learn from one another.
5. Bridge Local and Global Perspectives: Encourage ULAB students to connect global challenges with local realities, fostering a sense of responsibility and action toward
sustainable solutions.
By fulfilling this mission, the ULAB Model United Nations Club aims to prepare students to excel in academic and professional arenas and contribute meaningfully to creating a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.
Vision: The ULAB Model United Nations Club envisions becoming a beacon of excellence and innovation in diplomacy, debate, and leadership development at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). We aspire to:
1. Foster Leadership: Cultivate confident, articulate leaders who can represent ULAB with distinction on both national and international MUN platforms.
2. Promote Global Awareness: Encourage ULAB students to deeply understand global challenges such as climate change, human rights, and sustainable development, connecting these to local contexts and solutions.
3. Create a Collaborative Community: Build a vibrant, inclusive community of ULAB students who are passionate about diplomacy, negotiation, and problem-solving.
4. Encourage Social Impact: Inspire members to transform the skills and insights gained through MUN into meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.
