ULAB MSJ Apprenticeship Day Fall 2022
The much-awaited event Apprenticeship Day Fall 2022 of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), took place on Saturday, 28th October 2022. The event was organized at ULAB Research Building in Dhaka.
Apprenticeship Day is an event to showcase different apprenticeship program of MSJ Department, offering practical opportunities for students to engage in skill-based activities related to media, film and public relations industries.
Professor Jude William Genilo, the Head of the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, gave a speech about the importance of apprenticeship programs and how it works. He said, “As a Freshman, you should start thinking about what you can do to impact society and the industry. You are investing your time here to learn. Learning does not just take place in the classroom but practical learning also takes place outside. Choose the apprenticeship program for you and hone your skills.”
A video screening and a presentation session of apprenticeship and outreach programs were held to give some basic ideas to newcomers about their programs. A total of seven apprenticeship programs and two outreach programs were present there. Students with excellent services and achievements in different apprenticeship programs in the last semester were also awarded certificates in that event.
